Can I use butter instead of Tahini in recipes?
Asked 3 years ago
So I have a recipe that requires Tahini, which I don't have. What does Tahini do for baking? Do you think I can replace it with butter?

To substitute tahini with butter will make a difference in the way the food is cooked, baked and even how it tastes. You can make your own tahini with toasted sesame seeds and oil. Other replacements for tahini includes sunflower seed butter, cashew and almond butter, peanut butter, greek yoghurt or sesame oil.
