Where is the Mount of Temptation in Israel?

If we rely on scripture alone, there are unfortunately no concise indication of where the actual temptations from Satan took place. In modern-day Isreal, however, it is commonly accepted that the Mount of Temptation is located on a summit roughly 2.5 miles (4km) west of Jericho.
