Is Labneh an Israeli food?
Asked 3 years ago
I was looking at Jewish recipes when I came across Labneh yogurt. Is it from Israel? Would I be able to get the ingredients to make it even if I'm not in the Middle East?

Labneh is a soft cheese that is a favourite food in Israel. Labneh is made from Laban (yoghurt). there are two types of Laban, Laban A'rabi (sheep's milk) and Laban Baqari (cow's milk). Laban is a combination of milk and yoghurt that are boiled together. After boiling the mixture, all the fluids are drained with muslin towels to make the soft cheese.
