What did the Bible say about Cain?

Cain was the firstborn to Adam and Eve. He was a crop farmer. Cain was jealous of how God treated Abel after Abel's offering was accepted, and his own rejected. Cain then proceeded to murder Abel. We are taught that our approach should always be towards honouring God, not ourselves.
