Was Jesus a student of John the Baptist?

I'm not sure if Jesus only studied under John the Baptist or if he was his disciple?

Opinions differ about whether Jesus was ever a student of John. The Bible never tells us that Jesus was a follower of John, but John was among the first of Jesus' disciples and John baptized Jesus. This has led to the idea that Jesus must have been a student of John at some point in the past.
