Where was Ezekiel the prophet born?

Hi, I'm just pondering about Ezekiel. Where was the biblical messenger born, and how was he called to be a profit?

Well, research shows that the prophet Ezekiel was born in Jerusalem and belonged to a family of priests from the elite of the kingdom of Judah. Before being carried off by Nebuchadnezzar to Babylonia or shortly thereafter, he officiated in the Jerusalem Temple. While he was in exile, he experienced his first vision (of the throne-chariot of God) and began his prophetic activities among the exiles. So, his religious call came when he had a vision of the “throne-chariot” of God.
