Why are Christmas presents put underneath the tree?
Asked 3 years ago
I'm wondering if there is any particular reason why the gifts go underneath a Christmas tree. Any clue?

The tradition of placing presents under the Christmas tree dates back to 1848 when an engraving of Queen Victoria and her family gathered around the Christmas tree with presents underneath appeared in the "Illustrated London News". Later it was reprinted in the US magazine "Godey's Lady's Book". And the image became ideal for Christmas trees everywhere.
