Why do we use Christmas trees to celebrate Christmas?
Asked 3 years ago
Hi, how do Christmas trees form part of the Christian tradition? Is it mentioned in the bible, or is it just a symbol of something?

We Protestants like to think we brought Christmas tree tradition to the world, yet I believe it is an originally pagan custom. But for me it doesn't change anything - we Christians generally have a habit to adapt pagans customs into our own tradition. And why not? We fill it with the spiritual meaning of our faith and I don´t have any problem with it.
