King Solomon built Megiddo (1 Kings 9:15). The Book of Revelations tells us that Megiddo (Armageddon) will be the site of the Final Battle. Isaiah 34:6 says the "great slaughter" will happen at Megiddo. In 609BC there was a battle at Megiddo when Josiah, King of Judah would not let the Egyptians pass through his kingdom.
