How to celebrate Christmas after losing a loved one?
Asked 3 years ago
Hi, I've been brought up in a Christian home, and although I'm not particularly religious, I still celebrate Christmas. However, I've recently lost my mom and no longer feel like taking part in the cheery Christmas that takes place. How does one celebrate Christmas when you're grieving?

Hello, I am so sorry for your loss. Feel free to tell people how you feel and how hard this Christmas will be for you. You can enjoy a Christmas drink or just try to have fun if you can. Light a candle, look at some happy photos and tell others of a beautiful Christmas memory you shared with your mum. In honour of your mum, decorate at the cemetery, donate to a charity in her name. Lastly, put it in your mind that your mum would like to see you happy during Christmas.
