What does the Christmas tree symbolize in Christianity?

Christmas trees are one of the most popular family Christmas traditions, and yes, they are religious in nature. Being triangular, it is believed by most Christians to represent the Holy Trinity: God- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. From here came the idea of the Christmas tree and bringing it to the house.
