Should you journal in a regular bible?

Hi, I'm interested in bible journaling and wondering how it works. What do you need for bible journaling? Do you journal in a regular bible?

The difference between a journaling Bible and a regular Bible is the pages are thicker. The journaling Bible also has pictures on the sides that can be coloured. If your regular Bible has space, you can journal in the Bible as well, the colours may bleed on the pages as the pages are thinner.
