Why did Jesus have to leave Nazareth?
Asked 4 years ago
This part is unclear to me: What made Jesus decide that he had to leave the village of his youth? Do you suppose he felt a calling, or did he leave for different reasons?

Luke 2:41-52 tells the story of Jesus who stayed behind in Jerusalem after Passover. When his parents fetched him, he told them that he needed to stay to do the work of his Father. This passage clarifies the matter. He left Nazareth because he had a calling.
