Where was Jesus before he arrived in Galilee?

I'm reading John 1:43, and I'm just wondering where he was before he arrived in the Galilee. I know that he got baptized in this region before he went to the Galilee but I cannot remember where. Was He in Jerusalem? Where was He?

Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee (Mark 1:9) to be baptised by John the Baptist in the Jordan (Matt 3:13). After he was baptised, he was led to the desert to be tempted by Satan. This became the onset of his ministry at the age of thirty.
