Was the Northern King a good King, or was he notorious?

In Daniel's prophecy in the book of Daniel chapter 11, the northern kingdom refers to kingdoms located north of Jerusalem. The northern kingdom refers to Syria-the Seleucid dynasty with several kings with the name Antiochus.
If you are referring to the northern kingdom of Israel after it was split into two, the first king of the northern kingdom was Jeroboam. Jeroboam had God's blessing and led a revolt against Solomon's son Rehoboam, although he was not entirely a faithful follower of God.
