Book of Daniel: Who was the king of the South?
Asked 3 years ago
What was the name of the King of the South? Since there was a Queen of the South in biblical times, did they rule together?

Daniel 11 is describing the fighting between the Seleucid Empire in Syria (King of the North) and the Ptolemaic Empire of Egypt (King of the South). Both of these nations is North and South of Israel. It is possible that the king of the South (Daniel 11) and the queen of the South (1 Kings 10) ruled during the same time, but they are never mentioned together.
