Nebuchadnezzar is known as the greatest king of the Chaldean dynasty in the Babylonian empire. He destroyed the temple of Jerusalem and was the king of Babylon during the time of the Jewish captivity.
He was a warrior-king. There were times when he feared God and other times when he rebelled. He was the king when Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the burning fiery furnace for not bowing down to other gods.
One remarkable event in the life of Nebuchadnezzar was that he lost his sanity and turned into a beast after boasting about his achievements without giving praises to the Almighty. This lasted for seven years, after which he praised and honoured God.
