Why is Jesus also called Immanuel?

Jesus is also called Immanuel because with his birth he fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 7:14. He was called Jesus because that is what the angel told Joseph to call him. But in the next verse, it says that His birth is the fulfilment of the prophecy.
