Is an Advent Calendar Christian?
Asked 4 years ago
Since many Christmas traditions tend to be rooted in pagan rituals, I wondered if the Advent calendar is truly a Christian practice or if it is one of those adopted rituals?

All children like to open an advent calendar filled with surprises from 1 December till 24 December, counting off the days till Christmas. The advent calendar came into use from about 1850 by German Protestant Christians. Before the calendar, they used 24 chalk lines that they wiped until Christmas day.
