What did God command the Israelites to remember?
Asked 3 years ago
I am reading Deuteronomy 11-13 right now. What did God want the Israelites to remember? Do they form part of the 10 commandments?

In Deuteronomy, G_d commands the Israelites to remember their story so that they never forget where they have come from, and where they are going. The command (Deut 32:21) is to pass on their history and traditions from generation to generation. "It will not be forgotten in the mouths of their descendants."
