What made the Pharoah enslave the Israelites that were living in Egypt?

The Israelites had been in Egypt for generations, long after the Plagues. With the progression of time, they had grown in number, and Pharaoh feared their presence. He feared that the Israelites would one day turn against the Egyptians. So gradually and stealthily, he forced them to become his slaves.

After two years of famine, Jacob travelled with his family to Egypt to join Joseph since they were his family. After living in Egypt for 430 years the Pharoah started getting worried that the 3 million Israelites might attempt to overthrow Egypt. The Pharaoh started the process of gradually enslaving the Israelites to break their spirits and suppress their numbers.
