What should you not miss when visiting Israel?

Hi, I'm planning a trip to the holy land. Are there any hidden secrets of Israel that I should know about before I travel there?

Israel is filled with places to visit, some the usual tourist spots and some not so popular. Three of these places are:
The sea of Galilee. Hiking up one of the nearby mountains and experience the vastness of the sea of Galilee.
The Dome on the rock. This is a beautiful mosque with a golden roof and detailed mosaic.
Walk the Via Dolorosa. The Via Dolorosa is the path that Jesus walked on his way to be crucified.
