How long does it take to climb Masada?
Asked 4 years ago
Hi, we're planning a trip to Israel and want to climb Masada. How hard is it to climb Masada, and how many miles is the hike? Does anyone know how long it will take?

You can hike up the Snake Path on the eastern side of the mount, and take the cable car down. The walk takes 45min-2hrs. Alternatively, take the shorter Roman Ramp Path on the western side of Masada. The Snake Path is preferable because it gives you views of the Dead Sea, and it is by the main parking lot, welcome center, and cable car.
