What does the Bible say about head covering?
Asked 3 years ago
Growing up, traditionally, women covered their heads when going to and in church. Some wore elaborate hats and others a simple cloth. Is there something in the bible that says we should cover our heads?

In 1 Corinthians 11:5-6, we read that all women should wear a head covering when praying and prophesying. When looking back at the time Paul lived, the women were trying to act and dress more like the men, revolting against respectability. If you read 1 Corinthians 11:15, you see that the head covering is the hair and not a material covering.
