Is the Christmas star the Star of Bethlehem?
Asked 3 years ago
Some people talk about the Christmas star and others talk about the star of Bethlehem, there is also the star of King David. So many stars going around have me wondering whether the Christmas and Bethlehem stars are one and the same? Why do they have two different names?

The star of Bethlehem and the Christmas star is the same star. The book of Matthew mentions the star of Bethlehem. It is the star that guided the Magi to the manger. Astrologists believe that it was the alignment of the planets Jupiter, Saturn and the moon. Today we put a star on the top of the Christmas tree.
