Jaffa and Joppa are the same place. Joppa is a Latinized name from the Greek word used in the Bible for the city of Jaffa. In Israel, you'll hear Jaffa referred to as Yaffo (it is also called Yafa, and Japo). Today Jaffa is a joint municipality with Tel Aviv, so its official name is Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
