What does Bible say about anointing oil?

When reading Exodus 30:29, we see that the essential objective of anointing with oil was to purify a person or object. It was used to set the anointed person or object apart as Holy. At first, it was solely used for the priests and Tabernacle articles but it was later expanded to include the kings.
