Instructions in the Bible: How to perform a wedding ceremony?
Asked 3 years ago
Hi, I'm busy planning my wedding and looking for a special scripture to be incorporated as to include God in the ceremony. Are there any instructions in the Sacred Scriptures on how to perform a wedding ceremony? Does the Bible say anything about wedding ceremonies? All ideas are welcomed.

The Bible doesn't specifically instruct us on how to perform a wedding ceremony but there are scriptures related to love such as:
- Genesis 2:24 says "...a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."
- Mark 10:9 "...what G_d has joined together, let no one separate."
- John 4:16 "...whoever lives in love lives in G_d, and G_d in them."
- Romans 12:10 "Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves."
