King Solomon's temple was located in Jerusalem. According to the Bible, the first temple was completed in the year 957 BC and stood for around 400 years before it was destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon during the Jewish exile and captivity. The second temple was built many years after the Jews were allowed to return.
