What is the ratio of water to Israeli couscous?
Asked 3 years ago
I went and bought Israeli couscous, and I've never made it before. I want to cook one cup of this Israeli couscous. How much water do I add, and do I rinse it once it's cooked?

Generally, the ratio of water to Israeli couscous is 1:1 although some people use a 1.5:1 ratio. Put couscous in a bowl, add a little olive oil, pour boiling water on top(or stock for more flavour), and cover. Leave for about 10 minutes (can take 5-15min) or until all the liquid is absorbed. Then fluff up the couscous with a fork, season, and serve.
