There are approximately 20 wineries in the Golan Heights. The best-known winery in the Golan is the Golan Heights Winery. Other excellent wineries in the area include Chateau Golan and Mount Odem. The Golan's high elevation and volcanic soil are perfect for cultivating quality grapes. This is Israel's most famous wine-producing region.
