Redemption is to buy back what you own originally. Redemption is the price God paid with his son Jesus Christ to buy back humanity. Salvation is accepting that God has paid the price for your sins and turning away from them. So while redemption has to do with humanity in general, salvation is about a person turning away from their sins.
