What happened in Caesarea Philippi in the Bible?
Asked 3 years ago
I've heard some people call it the gates of hell is it in Judea? What happened there and how does it link up with the Roman era?

Caesarea Philippi (a Roman city) is close to the foot of Mount Hermon. This city was overshadowed by sin and pagan worshipping. This city was named after Herod the Great by his son Herod Philippi after he built a temple there. Later Philippi enlarged the city and attached his name to it.
