Meet Emily from Texas!
Emily lives in Texas and grew up in the US’s military base in the Philippines. She currently lives with her pet dogs and a cat in a farm that has been in her family for over 100 years. In her spare time, she takes care of the local cats in the neighborhood.
She loves animals and the outdoors, as inspired by her grandparent’s homesteading lifestyle. While not a fan of traveling, she loves Artza as it helps her vicariously travel to Israel.
How did you discover Artza?
"I don’t ever look at Facebook’s newsfeed. I only see things I’m tagged in, but when the pandemic began, I saw the Artza ad and thought it was interesting. I signed up and was laughing to myself, hoping it wasn’t a scam. Now that I think of it, I was probably meant to sign up for it."
What is your favorite Artza Item?
"I have Artza in pretty much every room in my home. I enjoy the candles and the scented things. There are specific scents I associate with different places and memories. I think that’s why I love the scents as it feels like I’m transported to Israel.
I always enjoyed receiving my Artza items around Christmas, like it’s a special gift from the Holy Land for Christmas."
How has Artza brought the Holy Land and scripture to life for you?
"Artza makes me feel a connection to the people who live in the Holy Land, especially through the artisanal items within the box when you know the story behind it. It’s made me learn that there’s a lot of Israel diversity in culture.
I have two Emmanuel items in my office at work and I get compliments all the time! As a child who got exposed to Judaism, the Artza items are my way to share about Judaism and love for Jewish people through my Artza items at home."
